Product Properties

1. Excellent flame retardant properties, the limiting oxygen index(LOI) is over 29%, start to carbonise and decompose above 370 °C.

2. Excellent high temperature resistance, It is able to work for a long period of time under acid base in 204 °C, 70% strength of threads remains after being in 260 °C for 900 hours

3. Chemical stability, has a high resistance to weak acid, weak base and the majority of organic solvents

4. Good textile properties, high resistance to breakage and its high break elongation ratio guaranteed the end product with high intensity, good product longevity, and better tolerance to injection

5. No Melt Drip properties, flame resistant with self-extinguish nature and non-melt drip characteristic.

Product Description

    The raw material of this yarn is meta-aramid, which is an aromatic polyamide fiber, which has excellent high temperature resistance and flame retardant properties, and is widely used in the fields of safety protection and technical textiles

    The long-term use temperature can reach 204 degrees Celsius, and the limiting oxygen index is greater than 29%. As a functional yarn, it has many advantages such as radiation resistant, mechanical stability, chemical stability, and electrical insulation.

    Unlike other materials and fibers available, gear and accessories made with meta aramid fiber are inherently flame-resistant and won't melt, drip, or support combustion in the air. And the thermal protection off  is permanent — its superior flame resistance cannot be washed out or worn away. Para aramid helps manufacturers enhance the overall durability and strength of lightweight turnout gear outer-shell-and-thermal-liner systems. It is five times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis, yet is lightweight, comfortable, and thermally protective.
